Campus Ambassador,

Visitor & Parent Services

I've been working as a campus ambassador since my freshman year of college. My duties include greeting visitors at the front desk, aiding our tour coordinator with logistics, and providing information to our visitors through general campus and engineering specific tours. During peak season, I can give a tour to as many as 80 people at a time!

For the 2016-2017 academic year I am the Vice President of the UC Berkeley Society of Women Engineers. However, here are some of the other contributions I've made to SWE in previous years.

Overnight Host Program Chair,

Society of Women Engineers

For the Spring 2016 semester I was the Overnight Host Program chair for the Society of Women Engineers. This annual event brings newly admitted high school students (female engineering majors) to our UC Berkeley Campus to experience what it's like to be a Berkeley Engineer. The mission of this program is to encourage more females to pursue engineering fields and to discover their potential at Berkeley. This year we had over 80% of our attendees commit to Berkeley!

Elementary Outreach Chair,

Society of Women Engineers

During my time as the Fall 2015 Elementary Outreach Officer of the Outreach Committee, I organized fun our monthly SWE Science Saturdays, science/engineering activities for local elementary and middle school kids. Some activities I have created include designing water filters, aluminum foil boats, mechanical grabbers, and wind turbines.
